If you are thinking of converting your hot home to the clean, cool comfort of a new refrigerated air, here is some helpful information.

If you have dust and allergy problems, refrigerated air allows for a cleaner home by filtering indoor air while you are able to keep your windows closed leaving the dust and dirt outside!

Refrigerated air is a breeze to operate, just set the room temperature to your liking and forget about it! Less maintenance is also a benefit of refrigerated air; a certified tech should inspect the system once a year and clean your filter. Starting up a refrigerated air system is just a flip of a switch away!

Energy efficiency

Terms like AFUE, SEER, HSPF, and Decibels are commonly used to describe efficiency ratings in the industry. With equipment that ranges from the minimum industry requirements to the world’s most energy-efficient systems, Delbar can help you choose the equipment that’s right for you.

AFUE: (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) is the standard measurement of efficiency for gas and oil-fired furnaces. Measured in percentages, this number tells you how much of your fuel is used to heat your home and how much fuel is simply wasted. The higher the AFUE rating, the greater the efficiency.

SEER: (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the measure of efficiency by which the cooling process of air conditioners and heat pumps is rated. The higher the SEER number, the greater the efficiency, which translates into greater energy savings.

HSPF: (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) is the measurement used to gauge the efficiency of the heating mode of heat pumps. Again, the higher the number, the greater the efficiency.

DECIBELS: The decibel scale is the rating system by which sound is measured. The decibel scale is a logarithmic scale like the Richter scale: the higher the number, the greater the noise level. Even a small difference in ratings can mean a significant difference in actual sound.
